My photography sits between street photography, environmental portraiture, and documentary storytelling, built on encounter — meeting people, listening, and letting conversation open the way into an image. I’m drawn to communities whose stories are often oversimplified or overlooked. I believe photography can go beyond recording appearance to create attention, affirmation, and recognition — which is why I’m especially committed to film and to print, in exhibitions and books, as a slower and more lasting way to encounter an image.
